I just get this all the time from father and mother, « Well, I would feed my children more fruits and won’t eat them. It may not be my fault… » Agh! I cringe every time I just hear that.
If you didn’t get started in young there is still intend! It’s a more gradual change. First they have to see you will eating it and having fun with it. Even if it’s not your selected thing they have to see that that suits you it. But don’t over do it. Like « MMMM this really soooo good! Johnny you must try it, YUM! » Kids will see right through that.
Hopefully they get a bit more vegetables than fruits. When my girls commenced on solids I bought them only vegetables to get the first 2 months after that slowly gave them fruits and veggies. Now at ages 1 and 3, they always eat their vegetables initially. Other parents gasp once they see that, « How did most people get them to do that? » These ask amazed. The answer is straightforward, « They eat what you allow them to have. «
They will have no decision but to eat fruits and veggies in the event you stop buying crackers, poker chips, cookies, ice-cream, or various quick frozen treats just like pizza rolls or scorching pockets. If they are avoiding to eat it to assert their liberty let them know this is what is for meals, breakfast, etc and you are not likely to make them something else. Also make sure they know there will not be any snacks after dinner. And stay with it! Don’t worry; you are not going to starve them. The class here is so huge.
